Job Description
| The Java Lead Web Application Developer will assist AssuraMed in the design implementation delivery and support of its Javabased ecommerce web application development efforts to ensure the availability of servicesproducts to AssuraMed customers Primary Duties Lead technical design and development of all frontend components (presentation clientside behavior data and web service integration to etc) for Javabased ecommerce platform Write documentation (eg technical specifications) for both internal and external use based on business requirements Drive the development adoption and enforcement of new standards and guidelines around browser compatibility reliability maintainability performance Perform peer code reviews to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines Identify potential areas of risk and suggest mitigating actions Assist in the planning and estimation of the teamrsquos work Be responsible for work quality and process ensuring it meets projectsrsquo and technical standards and guidelines Keep abreast of new and existing technologies and be able to apply these to a variety of projects as applicable Advise on strategic technology issues (eg writing proposals and leading discussions on choices of new techniques and technologies) Liaise with stakeholders throughout the project phase to produce working designs Mentor development staff in best practices new techniques and new technologies Assist in evaluation and piloting of new technologies and products Participate in afterhours support rotation Education Requirements BABS in Computer Science or related field graduate of an accredited computer science training program or equivalent work experience (5+ years professional web application development in an ecommerce environment) Required ExperienceSkills 5+ years of Java web application development experience 2+ years Aspectoriented programming using Spring framework 2+ years Test Driven Development using JUnit JSPJSTL and Java Servlet creation Objectoriented programming and ModelViewController (MVC) design patterns Client side web technologies including jQuery CSS AJAX HTML 5 Familiar with creating and consuming web services (SOA WSDL AXIS SOAP REST) Ability to write and optimize SQL Queries Stored Procedures and Views in TSQL andor PLSQL Ability to multitask and set priorities Detail oriented Passion to learn curious about business processes Results oriented with on time quality delivery strong service orientation Strong organizational skills Must demonstrate a professional attitude and demeanor Preferred Experience developing in a regulatory and compliance environment (PCI HIPAA HITECH OWASP) Tomcattc Server Java Messaging Services (JMS) Continuous IntegrationAutomated Unit Testing using MavenSeleniumBamboo Oracle ESBFusion Middleware |
