| Position Summary Primary responsibility of the Strategic Sourcing Project Manager is to work crossfunctionally across the OrthoFranchise to coordinate the utilization of secondary suppliers for new and existing product deliverables to market The scope and scale of these projects will range from existing product portfolios and new product launches This position will work upstream with internal Engineering RD Marketing and Quality teams bridging functional supplier development with external suppliers and Purchasing in order to bring new product to market or existing product to market via an improved supplier base The SSPM will develop and maintain close tactical and strategic relationships and Engineering RD Marketing Quality Purchasing and Supplier Base communicating project timelines action items and required resources internally while communicating product specifications product requirements drawings volumes with external suppliers for management discussion Position Responsibilities Builds and maintains internal product development relationships and external supplier relationships bridging the launch of new products andor increasing the divisionrsquos supplier base Mitigate risk to company by sourcing and developing secondary suppliers of existing product and team crossfunctionally across the organization to achieve product deliverables Key contributions to the companyrsquos efficient management of product life cycles new product launches change management inventory position and end of life materials draw downs Maintains project detail action items drives toward deadline achievement and works across the organization to gather required data Performs RFP responsibilities for projects communicating product volumes specifications costing lead times value added services riskbenefit analysis to and from suppliers to various internal teams Participates and leads as appropriate in cross functional project development action items risk analysis implementation planning and execution ensuring resources projects product and value are delivered Assists teams in identifying project risk and proactively drives deadline achievement Ability to identify and analyze problems and solve them creatively and in collaboration with team members Ability to present organize and convey problemsissues by applying technical knowledge and learning to groupsteams Collaborative relationships include representative role in providing solutions to problems associated with sourcing projects Assignments are diversified and may be asked to contribute with other duties and locations Champion factbased decision making effectively challenge status quo and act as change agent as needed and appropriate May review RD documentation Marketing programs Quality Management System and Procurement requirements coordinating project timelines needs and risk Maintain effective communication with all internal and external customers Support GAC in its compliance with FDA ISO SOX and all other regulatory requirements REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES Excellent communication skills listening verbal and written Proficient computer skills (Word Excel Outlook Power Point Access MS Project) Strong analytical skills Minimum 5 years prior applicable medical device supplier development experience Strong organizational and time management skills The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines Strong leadership and team building skills along with excellent organization communication and interpersonal abilities Commitment to company values SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Individual contributor EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree preferred Five years experience in Project Management Supplier Management andor Engineering RFP experience required Microsoft Project required DENTSPLY International is an Equal Opportunity Employer MFDV |
