ISETXHO12060) desired salary should be included in submission The Space Medicine Information Technology (SMIT) Data Interface Application Developer will provide support for the definition design development testing and implementation of interfaces between medical data information systems for various users including the JSC clinics Space Medicine staff and mission medical support teams The general purpose of these systems is to support the accumulation storage display analysis and exchange of human subject health related data between various groups Software development activities will be performed using a variety of technologies including BizTalk Server 2010 C SQL Server 2008 R2 SQL Server Reporting Services Visual Studio and SharePoint Server 2010 Operating systems include Windows XP 7 (desktop) and Windows 2003 and above (server) bull Participate in the full lifecycle of software development for various SMIT interface development projects including (1) Gather and document functional requirements from user representatives (2) Participate in design and planning meetings to support the technical infrastructure needs of various projects (3) Develop code to support the requirements and design for proposed applications and interfaces (4) Develop appropriate test plans and procedures (5) Conduct appropriate unit and system integration testing (6) Assist with the proper coordination and conduct of user acceptance testing of all developed applications (7) Work with users and technical support staff to coordinate and execute proper migration of developed software into a production environment (8) Develop documentation to support all of the above as well as additional items as necessary bull Assist with the daily monitoring of production interfaces bull Support the adoption implementation and continual improvement of accepted processes for software development code migration and configuration control bull Support the adoption implementation and improvement of coding standards bull Assist in the evaluation of commercial offtheshelf (COTS) products bull Develop execute and adhere to project plans and project schedules for all work as approved by the SMIT Data Interface User Support Services Lead bull Support the technical goals of the SMIT Team by working closely with the SMIT Architect in all application design and development phases bull Provide weekly status reports of work activities to SMIT Data Interface User Support Services Lead bull Maintain confidentiality of all medical and personal information to which access has been granted bull Know and adhere to Wyle policies procedures and work rules and demonstrate a strong work ethic bull Balance academic software development principles with practical constraints to meet project deadlines bull Responsibilities may require working evenings and weekends sometimes with little advance notice REQUIRED The position requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 6 years of work experience in an information technology environment with a minimum of 2 years of experience in developing integration solutions with BizTalk or a similar integration toolset and application development using languages and platforms such as C ASPNET and SQL Server Experience with object oriented programming is required Knowledge of and practical experience with relational database designdevelopment and analytical database designdevelopment is required Knowledge of and practical experience with formal software development project management tools and methods is required Experience in writing technical design documentation is required A proven ability to coordinate with team members project staff customers users and other stakeholders to successfully develop conduct and implement software development projects is required The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with personnel at all levels both one on one and in groups is essential The flexibility to adapt to new development tools and technologies is essential Candidates must be self starters who have a proven ability to work independently but who can also work well within a team to accomplish common goals and milestones bull US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident Status bull Candidates must include desired salary in application submission bull Demonstrable experience in the following technologies is required bull Experience developing integration solutions utilizing BizTalk Server or a similar integration toolset bull Experience developing applications with ASPNET C bull Knowledge of XML XSLT and experience developing XML schemas bull Experience developing andor using Web Services bull Experience with SQL Server 20052008 bull Comply with Wyle policies procedures and work instructions bull Responsible for compliance with Safety Health and Environmental plan must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Companys safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel bull Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan policies and procedures bull Maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company bull Responsible for completing all assigned training bull Perform other assignments and duties as required DESIRED bull Work experience in a medical information technology environment is desirable bull Prior NASA experience is desirable bull Microsoft BizTalk Server (MCTS) Certification or other software development related Microsoft certification is desirable bull Experience with the following technologes is desirable bull Interface development experience with medical standards including Heath Level 7 (HL7) bull Interface development experience with Electronic Medical Record systems such as GE Centricity bull Interface development experience with Picture Archive and Communication Systems such as Fuji Synapse or Synapse Cardiovascular bull SQL Server Reporting Services bull SharePoint 20072010
