| Altec is a leading provider of Integrated Document Management (IDM) solutions to midmarket companies For more than 25 years Altec has provided a wide range of accountingcentric paper to paperless solutions including its flagship product doclinkTrademark which enables companies to capture archive workflow and route structured and unstructured documents to customers employees and vendors Altecrsquos comprehensive solutions include IDM output management MICR check disbursement and paper documents that serve more than 13000 customers worldwide Job Title Test Engineer Department Development Status Full time Compensation Base Benefits Medical Dental Vision 401K with company match Location Tacoma WA Work Experience 3+ years The Test Engineer is responsible for creating and executing manual and automated tests to ensure the stability of our software applications Duties will include functional usability and regression testing Heshe is responsible for identifying and documenting software defects and the ability to communicate these defects in a clear and concise manner The Test Engineer must actively work with the development team in tracking and solving software defects Responsibilities Working with crossfunctional teams as well as practical experience in all phases of the software lifecycle Tests software releases during the product development Reports test results and enter problems and issues into the bug database Monitors and updates bug reports as needed including bug report closure Configures necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing Provides technical expertise on specific products operating systems and specialized environments Writes or assists in the development of test plans and test procedures Completes assigned testrelated tasks Manages the defect database under the guidance of senior QA engineers Assists in the automation of relevant test procedures Assists in review of test processes as they are developed Qualifications BA in Engineering Computer Science or related technical field Minimum of 3 years in software test planning test development and test execution Experience with testing in MS Windows application environment is required Experience with SQL Server is preferred Agile development preferred Analytic ability to research technical issues and generate creativeinnovative solutions Demonstrated indepth technical knowledge of software testing process and release cycles Extensive knowledge developing reviewing Test Plans Requirement documents Proven problem solving creativity balance of thoughtfulness speed Good understanding of software life cycles Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve desired results from general objectives Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills listening speaking writing and presenting Able to express thoughts and concepts to a variety of people with different skill levels Strong initiative and willingness to learn To be considered please submit your resume and salary history to recruitingmanageraltecinccom mailtorecruitingmanageraltecinccom List the job title in the subject line Altec is an equal opportunity employer We will conduct background screening on final candidates We are currently not using the assistance of Staffing Agencies |
