| ShareStream the leading provider of mediamanagement platforms for the education and knowledge industry is seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer to join ShareStreamrsquos engineering team The Java Developer should have strong experience in all phases of the software development life cycle and excellent software development habits (use of unit tests code documentation etc) The Java Developer will divide his or her time between system maintenance and new product development In addition to being an excellent engineer the ideal candidate will have strong communication skills both verbal and written and will be able to work effectively as part of a team ShareStream engineers work regularly with cuttingedge technologies in some of the hottest areas in software development today including online video mobileapplication development copyprotection technology for streamed media and JEE technologies Though ShareStream is a relatively young company with an entrepreneurial environment ShareStream employees receive benefits and insurance packages equivalent to those found in much larger organizations The Java Developer will work in ShareStreamrsquos corporate offices in Gaithersburg MD Experience 4+ years experience in Software Product Development using Java in Web Applications 3+ years experience in commercialproduct development using Spring Hibernate JSPs and JavaScript Strong experience working in a Linux development environment (RedHat CentOS) including shell scripting Extensive experience with sourcecontrol systems particularly Subversion Prior success working in growthstage commercial product companies is a strong plus Experience with jUnit and test driven development Experience with jQuery is a strong plus Enterprise Technologies J2EE (JSP and Servlets) Web Services and Ajax Frameworks Hibernate Spring Lucene Maven JUnit Application Servers Apache Tomcat WebLogic Databases MySQL and Oracle 10g11g |
