| Whats great about working for Radio Systems RSC offers a full benefits package to their associates which includes Medical Dental Vision Long and Short Term Disability Group Life Insurance and 401k Investment options with Employer contribution and of course you can bring your dog to work The culture of RSC can best be described as open innovative team oriented FUN If you want the opportunity to grow your skill set be a key player in a market leading company and have the opportunity to build relationships and be innovative Radio Systems is the right fit for you If you want to learn more about the company visit Radio Systems Corp on Facebook SUMMARY OF POSITION The Web Applications Developer is responsible for developing webbased applications to meet the emerging ecommerce needs of the company Actively participate in a small selfdirecting team of developers designers and internet marketing specialists to create a great experience for visitors to our various websites JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Build new systems using PHP JavaScript SQL and complementary technologies as needed Develop new applications and provide enhancements to existing products Utilize existing company code libraries and frameworks where applicable Be selfdirecting in managing personal backlog workload Research and recommend new technologies to enhance the user experience Independently design code and test major features as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes Architect and implement code that will 1) meet current and future needs 2) perform well under load and 3) be easy to maintain SPECIFICATIONS A degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years of web development experience Strong experience with clientside scripting languages and technologies such as JavaScript AJAX jQuery (or similar) CSS3 HTML5 etc Experience with MySQL and relational database design and normalization Knowledge of and experience with email design best practices Recognition and experience implementing UI UE best practices Selfdirecting with a strong work ethic Solid understanding of objectoriented programming (OOP) and computer science principles Strong desire and ability to continually learn and maintain a high level of expertise in a field that is constantly changing and evolving Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of SEO best practices Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external team members Must be able to both focus on the bigpicture objectives and be detail oriented |
