| Software Engineer ScreenPlay Inc is a wellestablished internetentertainment company that currently has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to our Asset Services department As the Software Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the companyrsquos existing production and clientfacing systems These are core components used both by us and our customers in a global content distribution network system that experiences millions of views per day Our video catalog is comprised of the worldrsquos most popular movie music television and video game content We are looking for someone to modify manage and enhance our existing clientfacing systems as well as assist in developing new software systems and integrate thirdparty software as required to support the Companyrsquos strategic objectives Primary Requirements Web Server and browser based development experience using modern objectoriented software development languages in a production environment ETL of W3C logs and XML for warehousing data migration and replication Documentation of existing applications processes and automation Apply best practices programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and routine software maintenance Work with endusers and customers to gather specs and requirements for existing processes and new enhancements Participation in escalation and support activities (being oncall) Work with revision control and release management systems such as Subversion and CVS Consult with IT staff to evaluate and design interfaces between network hardware and software systems QualificationsExperience Python ASPNET C XML JavaScript HTML CSS JSON LINQ and MVC Solid skills and experience with PostgreSQL Microsoft SQL Server including Transact SQL SSIS DDL and DML in both OLTP and OLAP environment Education Requirements Bachelors degree in software engineering computer science or equivalent experience Ability to respond to rapidly changing business requirements Must be a team player with strong communication and presentation skills Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States to be eligible for consideration visa sponsorship not currently available If you want to work for a company that manages one of the worldrsquos largest catalogs httpscreenplayinccomcatalog of movie trailers music videos and video games come see what ScreenPlay has to offer |
