| Sr Unix Systems Engineer Ivy Tech Community College Central Office Indianapolis IN 46208 Ivy Tech Community College Central Office is currently seeking a Sr Unix Systems Engineer Reporting to the Manager of the Server Team this position will install plan support and upgrade software and hardware for College LinuxUNIX systems Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in a technologyrelated field Four or more years of on the job indepth work experience with LinuxUNIX systems primarily in LinuxOpen source environment Indepth experience with Linux OS installation administration Linux network administration security management Intel hardware installation and support thirdparty applications support on Linux systems Experience using server virtualization technologies such as VMware ESX UNIX storage administration using RAID arrays SAN Technologies and backuprecovery using tools such as EMC Networker Indepth work experience in installing administering and supporting portal systems LDAP and calendaring systems Excellent understanding of web technologies and the software lifecycle development process including familiarity with the majority of the following Perl Java JavaScript CGI HTML XML ASPJSP SQL and PHP Ability to work with customers to define needs coordinate development and provide training Good technical writing skills and willingness to adequately document all work performed Ability to provide customer service in a courteous professional manner Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment EMC SAN administration General understanding of Microsoft Active Directory Installation and administration experience with experience with Oracle MySQL PostgreSQL Oracle WebLogic Apache Nginx DNS LDAP and VMware services Experience with Cisco UCS For more detailed information about this Central Office position and to apply visit our employment site at httpsjobsivytechedu Ivy Tech is an AccreditedEqual OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer |
