| A Journey Like No Other Starts Right Here Throughout the East Metro there lies a health system dedicated to creating the best health care experience through a passion for caring Its a system with a rich history of JudeoChristian values and an unwavering commitment to stateoftheart services Its a system defined by its peoplemdashworking together for the community and one another For a professional journey unlike any other head to HealthEast Care SystemRegistered The Database Engineer (aka Data Base Administrator) manages Data Base Management Systems (DBMSs eg Oracle cachersquo DB2) assists in the data strategy and helps construct deliver and maintain the data architecture This includes designing building and maintaining databases The Database Engineer also establishes and maintains appropriate data backups and the ability to recover to any point within that backup The Database Engineer provides database technical services and support to both internal and external clients is knowledgeable in multiple database platforms has worked successfully implementing vendor solutions and assists in mentoring others on technical aspects of data within the technical organization Requirements include Bachelorrsquos Degree in Computer Science Management Information Sciences Mathematics Engineering Business or area of functional responsibility preferred or a combination of equivalent education and experience bull 35 years of industry experience specifically as a database administrator or equivalent bull EPIC experience strongly preferred bull Cache database experience preferred bull Strong understanding of database structures theories principles and practices bull Excellent understanding of and experience with serverclient computing and relational database environments Handson database tuning and troubleshooting experience bull Indepth experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques bull Broad knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices bull Working technical experience with designing building installing configuring and supporting database servers bull Ability to present ideas in businessfriendly and userfriendly language bull Highly selfmotivated and directed bull Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly bull Good analytical and problemsolving abilities bull Very strong customer service orientation bull Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fastpaced changing environment multitasks prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner bull Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization bull Strong organizational attention to detail and task followup skills Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and meeting assigned deadlines HealthEast Care SystemRegistered is the largest notforprofit health care system in the East Metro with four hospitals and fourteen clinics We have been named one of the Top 100 ldquoBest Places to Work in HealthCarerdquo in the nation by Modern Healthcare and one of the Top 50 health systems nationwide by Thomson Reuters Apply online at wwwhealtheastorg httpwwwhealtheastorg (job number HE14661) |
