| Reporting to the Director of Technical Operations a Systems Administrator will provide a full range of support for the Jumptap product suite Support tasks can include but are not limited to patching operating systems deployingdebugging Jumptap code writing custom monitoring plugins responding to outagesemergencies racking wiring up a data center rack and regularly being required to master new technologies We are looking for highly motivated candidates that demonstrate creative and methodical problem solving abilities Principal Duties and Responsibilities A technical thinker with a positive attitude and the ability to creatively debug complex problems Strong ability to work both independently and with a team Looking for someone who has a sense of ownership and focuses on the safety stability and efficiency of the production environment Monitor the health of our production systems using Nagios Cacti and other tools Build scale troubleshoot and maintain the service platform Write comprehensive documentation Ability to handle crisis situations with calm customer facing demeanor Participate in a 24times7 oncall pager rotation Required Skills and Experience Position requires a Bachelorrsquos degree (BA or BS) from a FourYear College or University or equivalent combination of both education and experience 3+ years of Linux system administration experience (CentOS or RHEL a plus) Previous experience working with mission critical applications Networking skills in areas such as dealing with CDNs switchingrouting technologies layer 47 load balancing and network debugging Intermediate programmingscripting experience in Bash Perl or Python MySQL database experience ndash performance tuning replication and monitoring Excellent written and verbal communication skills Jumptap is an Equal Opportunity Employer that offers competitive wages and excellent benefits |
