40 billion institution the Seattle Bank is one of 12 Federal Home Loan Banks located across the US Enterprise Project Management Office Director The Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) Director has overall responsibility for Project Governance Project Management and Program Management activities This position manages the Program Management team and the Enterprise Portfolio consisting of tactical and strategic key business and technology initiatives The PMO Director leads and is responsible for the IT Enterprise Governance Process and the Work Initiation Process and is responsible for management of the Enterprise Project Portfolio This role coordinates business demand for IT services and fulfills that demand with resources from multiple IT vendors and internal resources The PMO Director is the primary point of contact for business unit managers to request new projects and sustainment enhancements and fixes Specific responsibilities for the role of Enterprise PMO Director include Develops and communicates project management standards and best practices Identifies secures and coordinates implementation of internal and external resources and expertise as appropriate to achieve project objectives Advises leadership andor business executives at the highest levels about the project portfolio status and resource planning Initiative and implements new methodologies process and procedures that will support company long and short term goals Drives engagement and growth for those working in the PMO Works with senior leadership team and finance on nYear strategic budget planning Works with project managers on preparation of project gates Manages resource demand project tools and escalation of project issues as they relate to managing the enterprise portfolio In addition to project and new functionality deployment responsibilities include career development performance management and pay determination and communication Conduct gate reviews with Senior leadership of the company demonstrating understanding progress transparent communication of project status Manages a team of Program and Project Managers who partner the business team in defining and executing on a wide variety of projects to support tactical and strategic efforts Identifies the crossfunctional requirements for both the business and IT across key projects and ensures Program and Project Managers are aligned on interproject dependencies Responsible for delivery and execution of technology projects Manages the IT Enterprise Governance Process and Work Initiation Process Manages IT policies and standards in accordance with Seattle Bank Corporate Compliance and in line with the Financial Operations and Affordable Housing Committee Leads the project portfolio planning and business prioritization processes Determines and manages budget and resources and ensures overall resources are managed well and effectively to optimize productivity and business success Maintains and communicates enterprise project portfolio status to all levels within the company and all departments and teams Manages and communicates the overall strategy and planning for the update of policies and procedures as they relate to enterprise project governance Drives and questions business units on assumptions regarding the implementation of their business needs Provides oversight and resources for analysis and reporting support for the Annual Budgeting and Project Planning processes Manage staff demonstrating leadership qualities consistent with management values and mission Develops staff through performance management goal setting training and effective employee relations Oversees quality and quantity of work produced insuring employees are held accountable and expectations are consistently met Performs other duties and projects as needed Desired Qualifications Bachelorrsquos Degree required MBA preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired Minimum 1015 years Program andor Project Management experience 10+ years of Information Technology experience 810 years of business analysis experience including data analytics and reporting experience General business operations experience Strong management skills including time management organizational prioritizing and decision making skills 5 years in increasing levels of leadership positions within IT organizations with proven ability to communicate effectively and build rapport and credibility within all levels of the organization Proven experience and success in leading a team Excellence in leadership and coaching toward high performance by example and direction Must be a selfstarter and have a high tolerance for ambiguity Ability to flourish in high stress environments Excellent conflict resolution negotiation and facilitation skills Demonstrated consulting skills Integrity professionalism honesty selfconfidence respect and
