| Entrusted with supplying safe reliable and efficient energy to the citizens of Nunavut through both traditional and alternative sources Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) offers many opportunities for those seeking to convert their skills and expertise into professional success Sounds like you Join our team Wideopen spaces rewarding work in a variety of settings and the chance to contribute to the wellbeing of all Nunavummiut will bring new energy to your career ndash now and in the future ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS SPECIALIST (Microsoft Great Plains) Baker Lake NU Reporting to the Director of Information Technology (IT) the Enterprise Systems Specialist will manage monitor and support all enterprise software systems and related databases Applying proven communication and problemsolving skills the Enterprise Systems Specialist will deliver support and training to and develop best practices for internal customers and business units to ensure the efficient use of enterprise software systems in fulfilling business objectives as well as guide and support internal customers on all issues related to enterprise software and related systems DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE bull Directing evaluating maintaining reviewing and managing corporate database resources and services across the organization to ensure the highest level of data quality bull Developing implementing and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and continuity of corporate databases and their accompanying software bull Keeping detailed accurate records of enterprise software systems setup structure and security bull Ensuring uptodate documentation on all enterprise software systems policies procedures and processes bull Submitting reports on maintenance upgrades andor outages as it pertains to enterprise software systems bull Developing requirements and schedules for enterprise software system initiatives bull Providing project design and management of all new enterprise software system initiatives bull Providing daytoday support to internal customers on the use of all enterprise software systems bull Providing security and data audits of all enterprise software systems bull Developing reports for internal customers from data within the enterprise software systems bull Scheduling and performing systems upgrades bull Implementing new functionality andor software systems bull Analyzing customer requirements for reports forms queries and data extraction bull Providing enduser training on the effective efficient use of enterprise systems databases and resources and bull Developing longterm goals for enterprise software systems in conjunction with data owners and department managers REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE bull Postsecondary training in the Information Technology field equivalent to a bachelorrsquos degree from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of experience in a software system specialist administrator or analyst position or an equivalent combination of education and experience bull At least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Great Plains at a systems level bull Strong understanding of relational database structures theories principles and practices bull Broad knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices bull Technical experience in designing building installing configuring and supporting Microsoft SQL database servers bull Handson database tuning and troubleshooting experience bull Strong understanding of finance and payroll functions bull Above average interpersonal and both written and oral communication skills bull Strong technical documentation skills bull Ability to present ideas in userfriendly language bull Keen attention to detail bull Proven analytical and problemsolving abilities bull Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment bull Strong customer service orientation and bull Experience working in a teamoriented collaborative environment DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDE bull Diamond Municipal Software or other utility billing software experience bull Prophix corporate performance management software experience bull Document management experience and bull Experience working in remoteisolated NorthernAboriginal communities We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including a Northern Living Allowance and relocation assistance This position is included in the Nunavut Employees Union This competition will remain open until filled Preference will be given to beneficiaries of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Apply in writing to Human Resources Leader Qulliq Energy Corporation PO Box 420 Baker Lake NU X0C 0A0 Email hrnpcnuca We thank all applicants for their interest however only those selected for further consideration will be contacted nunavutpowercom |
