| Job Purpose System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure of FuocoTech and its customers Server management and network management is a primary responsibility and a System Administrator would be responsible for installing maintaining and upgrading servers They are also responsible for ensuring the servers are backed up and that the server data is secure from unauthorized access Essential Job Results Provide operational support and maintenance for customer networks systems and servers Maintain and pursue additional technical certifications as required by the organization Troubleshoot and form creative solutions to complex problems involving multiple systems and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences Provides customer service by assisting customers with technical problems and information requests Delivers reliable high performance applications and technical services Follows up with customers to ensure satisfactory resolution Provides technical expertise in assigned area by troubleshooting and solving problems with vendors and systems Enhances automation processes and coordinates with internal departments to recommend systems or production environment modifications or other corrective actions as appropriate Facilitates smooth departmental operations by serving as a subject matter expert Oversees proper problem escalation notification and follow up and ensures continuity of service levels and system functionality Contributes to team effort by communicating with IT contacts other departments andor management Provides accurate documentation of issues and activity Participates in special projects as assigned Protects the Company by handling business sensitive information with appropriate confidentiality Accountability Works under general supervision and exercises some independent judgment discretion Delivers sound solutions within predetermined time period Leadership Exhibits personal characteristics and professional standards that serve as a role model for others Sound knowledge of relevant policies procedures and guidelines specific to the job Expert technical knowhow to meet job standards Maintains a positive attitude at all times Relationship Management Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with ability to interface with customers and departments to coordinate information and resolve problems Excellent customer service and follow up skills Problem Solving Applies experience to troubleshoot and resolve nonroutine problems Understands process and workflow Able to function in a diverse environment and research issues as needed Skills Requirements Experience Minimum 5 years related experience in area of specialty Proven customer service experience Education Associates Degree in Computer Science Data Processing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience May require A+ Net+ Microsoft (MCP) MCSEMCSA or other certifications Skills Advanced knowledge and experience with desktop operating systems (Windows XP and Windows 7) in an enterprise environment Software and hardware troubleshooting of desktop laptop and VDI (Virtual Desktop) systems Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including email (Outlook) configuration and troubleshooting in an Exchange environment May require advanced proficiency in a particular application or applications Intermediate knowledge of VPN and LAN Excellent customer service organizational and verbal communication skills |
