| Job Description The Desktop Supervisor position manages a team of professionals who implement deploy and support our associatersquos computers printers software and other specific hardware This is a handson role playing a vital part in daytoday support and projects of varying complexity and priority with the goal of integrating end user computing devices into an enterprise wide financial environment This position requires a highly technical person who communicates well with team members both in person and in writing Maintains appropriate staffing levels to ensure that problems and needs are met within a reasonable time period Will be required to interact and provide direct support to associates as well as set goals for staff Must be able to follow complex problems through to resolution and also must interact well with people Responsibilities Meet regularly with team members to set goals mentor and develop Allocate technicians to projects and initiatives as needed Manages costs schedules and quality by overseeing project deliverables Ensures schedule and budget are met Identifies need for change determines course of action and revises as appropriate Research and implement new hardware and software technologies that enable JFG associates to be more productive Selects and hires employees Train and evaluate employeesrsquo performance and development Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions Motivates and rewards employees including recommending salary increases bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines Provide indepth hardware and software support that may require local travel Actively involved in moves adds and changes Required Skills 5 years or more years experience with progressively responsible experience Demonstrated ability to motivate lead and teach employees and clients Strong consultative skills analytical ability decisiveness and judgment Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively with end users IT vendors and other departments throughout the organization Strong self starter who can make independent decisions and is highly motivated Ability to think logically and creatively in problem solving Should know when to escalate a problem Working conditionsphysical demands of bending and lifting weights up to 35 pounds Knowledge of financial institution environments products and system a plus |
