| ob Title SQL Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Department IT Report to IT Manager Desired Outcomes Support the organizations mission through effective development and deployment of BI solutions using the Microsoft SQL Server platform The SQL Business Intelligence Developer will build sound relationships with business units resulting in the successful support of business intelligence needs across the organization Achieve an overall score of 3 or better on LEM yearly evaluation and goals ndash measured via LEM monthly report card Achieve a score of 90 or better on monthly support service surveys ndash measured via LEM goals Duties and Responsibilities The ability to work independently using discretion and judgment executing the following responsibilities Partner with business units to plan design develop and deploy BI solutions across IT business systems such as SQL data warehouse SharePoint Dynamics CRM Dynamics SL and Kentico eCommerce to provide users with quick and actionable business intelligence that meet governance standards IT SME for SQL data warehouse and other databases Collaborate with project teams and internal users to review and develop designs code test and deploy technical design and BI solutions Design develop test and publish BI reports dashboards and ad hoc data access solutions via relational and multidimensional database queries across multiple data sources to support business analysis research planning and decisionmaking Perform adhoc BI research and analysis and provide results for nontechnical business users Perform database and BI solutions administrative and support tasks by managing maintaining troubleshooting and optimizing databases Serve as second tier user assistance for deployed BI solutions Create and maintain detailed documentation of data warehouse cube structures databases and other BI solutions Assist with IT disaster recovery planning and testing Identify necessary business systems improvements and propose solutions to the IT Manager Knowledge Skills and Abilities Bachelor Degree with an emphasis in Information Systems and three or more years of work experience required or equivalent relevant work experience Strong relevant work experience with large data centric projects such as data warehouse development data integration across business systems modeling design and development of multidimensional databases and OLAP cubes Demonstrated indepth knowledge with SQL Server including MS BI suite (SSAS SSIS SSRS) Proven Business Intelligence development and support experience sourcing and presenting data from multiple databases Preferred IT certifications or ability to obtain within 12 months Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) SQL Server Business Intelligence Solid working knowledge of SharePoint Dynamics CRM Dynamics SL Office 2010 BIO Analytics preferred Excellent analytical problemsolving time management and communication skills Ability to work flexible hours including at times nights and weekends Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands and is required to talk and hear The employee is frequently required to stand sit and walk The employee may occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus Ability to sit type and view a computer screen up to 8 hours at a time Ability to use telephone headset for up to 8 hours at a time The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Job Location Gulf Breeze Florida Job Status exempt |
