| POSITION SUMMARY The Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) is the leading professional organization for surgical technologists and promotes the education and training of surgical technologists nationally advances the profession through legislative efforts and provides benchmark resources for practitioners to utilize We publish a monthly journal books manuals and sponsor live educational events all focused on our mission of providing safe patient care AST is seeking a fulltime Senior Web Developer with excellent technical abilities who is innovative driven and as important a good person to share space with We are searching for an individual to design build and maintain multiple organizational websites The ideal candidate has a substantive background in website design and development including a strong understanding of new technology and the capability to independently follow through with implementation The Web Developer will be responsible for supporting the current infrastructure and working with staff members to interface the development of new webbased projects The Web Developer must be a team player with strong web programming skills and an attention to detail with the leadership ability to take projects through to completion JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Develops and maintains all of ASTrsquos organizational websites social media sites and associated pages 2 Analyzes the best strategy for obtaining the requisite functionality and identifies the required steps to accomplish that goal 3 Defines all web application development best practices 4 Builds websites and web applications using ASPNet and Classic ASP TSQL VBNet CNet JavaScript HTML 4 XML and CSS 5 Performs upgrades maintenance and troubleshooting as needed 6 Collaborates with educational and publishing staff members to develop new concepts and transform them into products for surgical audiences 7 Educates and mentors staff members appropriately BONUSES Experience with hardware maintenance and network administration PHP VMWare servers mobile platforms streaming media Wordpress and Ektron web content software EDUCATION Bachelorrsquos degree in Computer Science or Web Development or equivalent in education and work experience 5+ years working in interactive web design ABOUT US AST is a pretty incredible place to work ndash this is Colorado We offer health and dental benefits paid time off personal days a casual dress code occasional barbecues free parking and a stunning view of the Rocky Mountains All of this in an atmosphere that is collegial ndash not hierarchal ndash you will be working within a community where your ideas are welcomed and your initiative to engage across departments is genuinely appreciated The office culture is flexible and humor is characteristic ndash we do like to laugh ndash and eat deli croissants ndash even homemade tortellini soup and pizza of courseIf you are committed to success and have the background and qualifications wersquore looking for please get in touch with usmdashwe are waiting to meet you |
