NETWORKSTORAGE ADMINISTRATION POSITION FULL TIME POSITION AVAILABLE Winona MN The Fastenal Company would like to invite ambitious hardworking individuals to apply for the position of fulltime NetworkStorage Administrator Applicants should be able to bring new ideas and improvements to business practices remain fair respectful and moral in all situations and work well both independently and as part of a team ABOUT US Since 1967 Fastenal has grown from a single store to more than 2700 locations each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers As weve expanded across the world weve retained a core belief in people and their ability to accomplish remarkable things if given the opportunity From this philosophy stems an entrepreneurial culture that challenges every employee to run their own business create their own success and rise up to become company leaders As a debtfree company that typically doubles in size every four to five years we are committed to training promoting from within and creating opportunities for our employees If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and are looking to make your mark as part of an elite growth company you wont find a better fit than Fastenal OVERVIEW We are seeking a selfmotivated selfconfident team player that can work well on a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment This position provides 24x7 oncall support on a rotating schedule with other members of the Network Admin Team A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics along with 5 years of Storage Area Network (SAN) administration experience is highly preferred Job Duties and Responsibilities Administration of storage subsystem connectivity security and supporting software Responsible for storage system configuration zoning disk to target systems and switch connectivity Forecasts and allocates disk storage Performs data backups and recoveries Designsimplements backup and recovery strategies for storage systems file systems and applications (including databases) Proactively monitor and report on system performance capacity availability and end user response time Required Knowledge and Experience Possess knowledge of storage management principles and techniques Strong configuration allocation and management experience with EMC Symmetrix Clariion NetApp and Data Domain technologies Strong system administration skills with RedHat Linux Solaris and Windows Hands on experience with Veritas and EMC PowerPath Experience with VMware and virtualized environments Desired Skills and Experience Hands on knowledge of EMC Symmetrix EMC Clariion and NetApp storage Familiar with EMC RecoverPoint Exposure to EMC Networker EMC Avamar and Data Domain backup applications and hardware Working knowledge of Cisco MDS SAN Switch technology as well as experience with Cisco N1000v integration with VMware Firm understanding of VMWare vCenter N1000v SAN configuration zoning multipathing load balancing and Fiber Channel within a Linux Windows and Solaris infrastructure
