| Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1 As a team member of the companys java development team you will be responsible for developing web based applications web services and reports to support a large client base of trade show organizations 2 Provide project leadership for any new projects and enhancements 3 Ensure that proper documentation is created and updated as necessary 4 Provide technical guidance to team members 5 Maintain business relationships with business units within the company through effective communication methods 6 Assist with monitoring of emergency tickets and code fixing 7 Make technical design and coding decisions independently on a daily basis within the scope of architectural guidance 8 Provide technical guidance as well as mentor junior developers and team members 9 Participate in design and code reviews Other Duties and Responsibilities 1 Assist in the development of software development life cycle and standards best practices methodologies techniques and tools 2 Mentor others on software development best practices techniques and tools Job Requirements (Education Work Experience Certifications Skills) 1 BS Degree in Business or IS preferred or demonstrated equivalent experience 2 Minimum five years software development experience with at least three years in J2EE Java Swing relational database programming 3 Strong overall computer programming background primarily in Java JSP XML SQL and a variety of other scripting tools and languages 4 Accomplished with version control and change management processes policies and principles 5 Proven experience in systems development life cycle 6 Strong knowledge in Unix Operating system 7 Solid written and oral communication skills 8 Minimum four years of demonstrated experience leading Application Development projects 9 Java certification PHP experience and VBA experience is a plus |
