| JOB DESCRIPTION The Queens County District Attorneyrsquos Office is seeking a network engineer with a minimum of three to five plus years experience Responsibilities will include installing maintaining supporting and backing up technologies related to Novell VMWare Linux and Windows server platforms maintaining securing monitoring and troubleshooting SAN and network infrastructure environments preparing updating and maintaining technical documentation to accompany all systems programs and changes PREFERRED SKILLS Bachelors degree technical certification and 5+ years of engineering experience is preferred must have demonstrated experience and proficiency installing configuring and supporting software hardware and connectivity components of Open Enterprise and VMWare in blade servers and storage environments must have strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills experience with eDirectory ZenWorks Identity Management email administration Windows 2008 Commvault Cisco networking and telecommunications equipment preferred QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 1 A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three to five plus years of satisfactory fulltime experience acquired within the last 8 years in working on large scale computer operations or networks designing configuring installing testing troubleshooting integrating performance monitoring maintaining enhancing security management and support of network operating systems computer software hardware and associated devices or 2 A satisfactory combination of education andor experience equivalent to ldquo1 above However all candidates must have at least three to five plus years of fulltime experience acquired within the last 8 years as described in ldquo1 above TO APPLY PLEASE SUBMIT RESUME AND COVER LETTER TO Queens County District Attorneyrsquos Office 12501 Queens Boulevard Kew Gardens NY 11415 Attn Administration or Email to ITPositionsqueensdaorg mailtoITPositionsqueensdaorg The Queens County District Attorneyrsquos Office and the City of New York are Equal Opportunity Employers |
