| Summary The Business Intelligence (BI) Business Warehouse (BW) Developer must be experienced in designing developing and implementing complex Business Intelligence solutions This person is a member of the team that partners with business to understand their challenges translate them into requirements The BIBW Developer will ensure the creation of production solutions which address quality performance availability scalability and integrity This person must be selfmotivated and resultsoriented with strong data warehouse and business intelligence architecture skills Essential Duties Responsibilities Implement SAP BWBI strategy and best practices for global BI solution Creation maintenance and implementation of BI solutions utilizing SAP BWBI Active role in data architecture tools processes project assessment and development process design Provide technical overviews and tool demonstrations to BI Power Users Key Business users and SAP Functional owners Diagnose and resolve application bottlenecks and performance issues via performance tuningoptimization Diagnose and resolve production support issues Work closely with Key Business users to understand their challenges and translate them into requirements Collaborate with SAP Functional owners to ensure the creation of production solutions which address business needs Organize create and maintain critical technical and functional documentation for solutions including technical specifications test plans and training materials Qualifications Proven success as a BIBW Developer (5+ years) in a multinational organization using SAP BWBI tools Extensive Knowledge of SAP BW 35 and SAP BI 70 in Modeling Reporting BEX Analyzer Query Designer System Administration Table Storage Maintenance Security Configuration and Business Content activation 35 years with hands on ETL tools data staging techniques metadata tools and data base designs Knowledge of SAP functional areas including Sales and Distribution Materials Management Finance and Controlling and Inventory Proactive great attention to detail resultsoriented problem solver Ability to deal with long term goals along with immediate performance concerns Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and teach engineers Strong communication skills and the ability to translate highly complex technical issues to nontechnical audience Ability to work well with others Must be trustworthy and handle work of a confidential nature Education andor Experience A BABS degree and 10+ years of experience in Information Technology Experience (5+ years) with data integration and BIreporting tools Experience with Business Objects a plus Experience with Business Objects Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) a plus About Us Alliance One International Inc is a leading global independent leaf tobacco merchant serving the worlds largest cigarette manufacturers The company was formed on May 13 2005 as a result of the merger of DIMON Incorporated and Standard Commercial Corporation both world leaders in tobacco processing The creation of Alliance One brings together 200 years of combined experience and expertise establishing a formidable competitor with a clear focus on its customers as well as a vision for the future Alliance One selects purchases processes packs stores and ships leaf tobacco grown in approximately 45 countries serving manufacturers of cigarettes and other consumer tobacco products in approximately 90 countries worldwide In certain developing markets we also provide agronomy expertise and financing for the growing of leaf tobacco Alliance One neither manufactures nor sells cigarettes or other consumer tobacco products We have operations in major tobacco growing regions in the world including the United States Brazil Argentina Malawi Tanzania Turkey Germany Macedonia Bulgaria India Indonesia and Thailand Our shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol AOI Alliance One is proud to maintain the traditions of excellence that began generations ago striving to find new opportunities and solutions within the industry for our customers suppliers and employees At AOI we firmly believe that our employees are our most valuable asset AOI offers a variety of career opportunities with competitive compensation and excellent benefits Some highlights of our full benefits package include paid time off paid holidays retirement savings plan medical dental vision life and disability insurance recognition programs tuition assistance and employee assistance programs Alliance Ones global headquarters is located in Morrisville North Carolina wwwaointlcom |
