| PEOPLESOFT ADMINISTRATOR Job Description The Alameda County Information Technology Department is looking for a PeopleSoft Administrator to join the Middleware Services Group to support ongoing development production maintenance and upgrades of PeopleSoft HRMS and Financials The PeopleSoft Administrator will work closely with the ProgrammingProject Manager Developers Server Admins Network Admins DBAs and key business partners as either a resource on projects or as the Project Manager The PeopleSoft Administrator will work in various teams but will need to have the ability to work independently provide project management and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines Although the candidatersquos strengths would be in PeopleSoft the candidate must be able to support and maintain non PeopleSoft systems as a member of the Middleware Services Group Primary PeopleSoft responsibilities will include Setup or manage PeopleSoft environments Install and configure complete PeopleSoft systems on Windows in a multiserver load balanced HA environment running Microsoft SQL Manage PIA Tuxedo Application Server Domain Ren Server Clusters WebLogic and Process Schedulers Ensure PS environment health Environment Monitoring Define Application Web and Batch server alerts and notifications Define thresholds for PeopleSoft environments PeopleSoft upgrades Patches and fixes Maintain system with up to date patches and fixes obtained from PS Customer Connection Work with DBAs Server Admins Network Admins and the application development group to resolve technical issues Thorough handson working knowledge of PeopleSoft Tools App Upgrades Change Assistant App Designer Data Mover Crystal Reports nVision COBOL SQR SQL and STAT for change management and version control Server Admin tasks with Batch Web and Application server Plan and tune PeopleSoft Internet Architecture and report manager Provide support to Application development team with tuning and troubleshooting Troubleshoot server issues and monitor logs Assist with batch job setup and execution using CA dSeries Workload Automation Provide support to a 247 PeopleSoft Online and Batch environment STAT Change management and Version Control Perform migrations of PeopleSoft objects using STAT Create and administer new user roles and security within the STAT realm Upgrade and maintain STAT Non PeopleSoft responsibilities will include Install configure and support web and application servers in a multiserver load balanced HA environments Define and implement monitoring of managed web and application servers Provide support to application development teams with tuning troubleshooting and other infrastructure needs Work with DBArsquos Server Admins Network Admins and application developers to resolve technical issues Provide application administration support for back office systems and services such as Change Management and Migration Control systems Help Desk systems Collaboration suites Bug tracking systems Enterprise Workload Automation SFTP and etc Recommend and implement cross systems integration methodologies and technologies Requirements Experience in setup and maintenance of PeopleSoft applications Experience implementing and managing PeopleSoft databases Production HA enterprise environment support experience is a must Maintaining multiple PeopleTools versions within a common server environment at each tier Experience with Setup and maintain proper functioning of PIA Tuxedo WebLogic SQR nVision Crystal Reports COBOL Configuring load balanced Web and App server environment with failover capability for HA environment Working knowledge of PS Integration Broker and Web Services Working knowledge of PeopleSoft user security roles and web profiles Experience in applying PeopleSoft application and tools patchesfixes Working knowledge of PeopleSoft upgrade methodologies and best practices Experience with at least one PeopleSoft upgrade including application and tools release Thorough understanding of PeopleSoft system architecture and related 3rd party tools Working knowledge of Windows operating system and shell scripts Experience with Microsoft SQL Experience working with an enterprise wide large scale implementation Experience working with PeopleSoft Implementations in a government or civil service environment Experience working and managing projects within a matrix environment Excellent communications skills (Oral and written) interpersonal and organizational skills are essential Knowledge of implementing and maintaining STAT to migrate PS objects across numerous distributed environments is a plus Knowledge of performance and stress testing using HP LoadRunner is a plus Knowledge of WebSphere zLinux ZOS and DB2ZOS is not required but
