| Description America Media Inc is seeking a QA engineer with 3+ years of professional experience The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of delivering high quality results at a high level of productivity on a range of projects The appropriate candidate will have experience developing and executing test plans Experience with open source technologies and the ability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies in a timely fashion is required The QA engineer must have excellent written and verbal communications skills The ability to always learn and share knowledge with peers in a fastpaced atmosphere is required to be successful in this dynamic role Responsibilities Write test plans from the requirements specifications and test strategies Documenting software defects using a bug tracking system and monitoring their resolution efforts Develop automated scripts to aid in front end and back end testing Demonstrate ability to analyze defectstest results to identify chain of events leading to a failure Support operations Occasional site administration and reporting duties Help create and edit community documentation Work with project managers project stakeholders designers other developers etc to meet the defined business requirements Participate in team meetings and provide input for projects and procedures Qualifications Strong understanding of Agile Software Development Life Cycle Experience in database testing MySQL preferred Experience working with CMSrsquos Drupal and WordPress experience strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of networking and systems Working knowledge of JavaScript HTML and CSS Comfort with UNIXLinux environments Experience in automated web testing Selenium (IDE RC and Webdriver) strongly preferred Experience with Unit Testing Continuous Integration platforms and libraries particularly with Selenium and PHPUnit Knowledge of other programming languages such a Java c Ruby C++ etc is considered a big plus Working knowledge of source control SCM tools (git SVN etc) |
