| Description American Media Inc is seeking a director of Quality Assurance to join a small team of QA engineers in New York City NY This is a handson role with focus on automatic test plan and continuous integration We are looking for a razorsharp professional capable of handling QA operations in a fast paced production environment The Director of QA would be responsible for ensuring that our publicfacing websites mobile apps and supporting systems in the cloud are all operating with the highest degree of accuracy and speed Essential Responsibilities Support mentor and manage the American Media QA team Oversee all quality assurance processes for all American Media brands sites Manage test procedures for all testing automation whitebox testing and serverside test coverage Automate and optimize production test workflow processes Establish QA standards for production Develop complete test planning for complex cloud projects Lead the efforts to automate testing for production releases Evaluate test strategies and determine the priority of test case implementation and execution so to reach the highest possible quality Qualifications 3+ years in a leadership position in Quality Assurance Bachelorrsquos Degree preferably in a technical discipline Passionate about new ideas and technologies and look for the kind of solutions that address the problem at hand and prevent it from recurring in the future Techsavvy not afraid to use new technologies and automation to keep the QA process lean and efficient Emphasize continuous improvement and encourage team members to find solutions that benefit the quality of our sites Strong verbal and written skills Extensive knowledge of various operating systems web browsers and crossbrowser compatibility issues Must be very well organized processoriented and goal driven Familiarity with technologies such as SQL HTML PHP Drupal WordPress Java and Scala is a big plus |
