REQUISITION NUMBER 457 POSITION Senior Network Administrator LOCATION Bethesda Maryland RELOCATION No TYPE FullTime Enviva is a leading manufacturer of processed biomass fuel in the United States Envivas mission is to be the world leader in the production of sustainable biomass and a preferred partner and supplier to European utilities seeking to decrease their dependence on fossil fuels and reduce their carbon footprint The company owns and operates three large scale wood pellet manufacturing facilities in the southeast US and is in development on two additional facilities The Company also owns and operates a dry bulk port facility in order to control the supply chain to the customer All of the Companys production is committed under existing take or pay contracts with credit worthy counterparties Enviva is a sponsor company of Riverstone LLC The Company is experiencing rapid growth and evolving from a startup to a more process oriented enterprise The Senior Network Administrator will provide technical expertise and system support for Envivas corporate technical infrastructure and business applications This position provides the technical skill and ingenuity to build and support internal and external data and telecommunication networks support business applications take responsibility for system backups and will assist with disaster recovery planning The Senior Network Administrator will report to the Director of Information Technology RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the configuration installation performance monitoring security and continual improvement of our network server and telecommunication assets Responsible for supporting our business applications including Microsoft Active Directory Microsoft Exchange 2010 SQL Server 2008 and a number of COTS software packages Responsible for assisting with Sarbanes Oxley audits and assisting the Director of Information Technology with enforcing and implementing Envivas Information Technology policies procedures and security measures Analyze technical and business needs and recommend solutions Maintain positive relationships with our end users and our vendors Maintain current working knowledge in the area of systems and hardware and incorporate new developments into the future systems of the enterprise QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Computer ScienceInformation Systems 8+ years of broad IT experience with 5+ years experience as a Network Administrator Must have MS Exchange and MS SQL Server experience Knowledge and experience with networking hardware data architectures off the shelf software databases etc Strong understanding of all significant components of an overall IT architecture (infrastructure applications data management redundancy and disaster recovery) Experience meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff Strong analytical abilities organized with attention to detail Motivated selfstarter PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS WORKING CONDITIONS While performing duties of this job the employee is predominately functioning in a sedentary light office position with high frequency of telephone communication keyboarding and computer Position requires eyehand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard photocopier telephone calculator and other office equipment Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record prepare and communicate technical issues resolution Must be able to get under desks frequently and lift computers and monitors (up to 50 lbs) frequently Compensation will consist of a competitive base salary and bonus To apply go to httpwwwenvivabiomasscomcareers (or click on Apply Now) and submit your resume to Senior Network Administrator 20121022 Enviva is an equal opportunity employer
