| REQUISITION NUMBER 456 POSITION Help Desk Support Specialist LOCATION Bethesda Maryland RELOCATION No TYPE FullTime Enviva is a leading manufacturer of processed biomass fuel in the United States Envivas mission is to be the world leader in the production of sustainable biomass and a preferred partner and supplier to European utilities seeking to decrease their dependence on fossil fuels and reduce their carbon footprint The company owns and operates three large scale wood pellet manufacturing facilities in the southeast US and is in development on two additional facilities The Company also owns and operates a dry bulk port facility in order to control the supply chain to the customer All of the Companys production is committed under existing take or pay contracts with credit worthy counterparties Enviva is a sponsor company of Riverstone LLC The Company is experiencing rapid growth and evolving from a startup to a more process oriented enterprise The Help Desk Specialist will provide support for Envivas end users This position will identify research and resolve technical problems that may be communicated via telephone email and in person The Help Desk Specialist will report to the Director of Information Technology RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the expedited resolution of issues submitted to the help desk Responsible for supporting our laptop and desktop hardware printers telephones and mobile devices Responsible for providing application support to our users including resolving issues within Microsoft Windows Microsoft Office and other corporate business applications Responsible for assisting with Sarbanes Oxley audits and assisting the Director of Information Technology with enforcing and implementing Envivas IT policies procedures and security measures Analyze technical and business needs and recommend solutions Maintain positive relationships with our end users and our vendors Maintain current working knowledge in the area of systems and hardware QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Computer ScienceInformation Systems preferred 5+ years of IT experience with 3+ years experience as a lead Help Desk Specialist Must have extensive Microsoft Office troubleshooting experience with emphasis on Excel and Outlook Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff Knowledge and experience with laptop desktop and networking hardware Significant track record of expeditious issue resolution Strong analytical abilities organized with attention to detail Motivated selfstarter Experience supporting Apple products including Mac iPhones and iPads preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS WORKING CONDITIONS While performing duties of this job the employee is predominately functioning in a sedentary light office position with high frequency of telephone communication keyboarding and computer Position requires eyehand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard photocopier telephone calculator and other office equipment Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record prepare and communicate technical issues resolution Must be able to get under desks frequently and lift computers and monitors (up to 50 lbs) frequently Compensation will consist of a competitive base salary and bonus To apply go to httpwwwenvivabiomasscomcareers and submit your resume to Help Desk Support Specialist 20121021 Enviva is an equal opportunity employer |
