| COMPANY OVERVIEW AOSense was founded in 2004 to develop innovative gravity and inertial sensors capitalizing on atom optics (AO) techniques The test masses in our sensors are clouds of lasercooled atoms freely falling in a vacuum cell Frequencystable lasers measure the motion of these atoms relative to the sensor platform These two characteristics of AO sensors provide unparalleled accuracy and stability far surpassing the performance of conventional sensors POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a navigation engineer with experience developing algorithms for aided inertial navigation and integrated GNSSINS navigation As a Senior Navigation Engineer at AOSense you will work with scientists and engineers to develop computer models for navigation systems comprising AO accelerometers AO gyroscopes AO gravimeters various conventional sensors and GNSS RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with physicists and instrument designers to develop performance models for AO inertial sensors Apply filter and estimation principles to simulate spacetime vector GNSS processing Model and implement digital antenna arrays for GPSGNSS signal detection Integrate sensor and GNSS models into navigation models Perform navigation simulations for relevant platform trajectories and analyze results Apply simulation and sensor test results to guide the design of nextgeneration AO sensors GNSS receivers and navigation algorithms in cooperation with other scientists and engineers Contribute to proposals for further development and applications REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated expertise in sensor fusion and navigation simulations Thorough understanding of statistical estimation theory (eg Kalman filters) Familiarity with performance noise and stability characterization of sensors Proficiency with commercial numerical analysis packages (eg Matlab or Mathematica) Experience with gravityaided navigation is a plus Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Applicants should thrive in a dynamic startup environment US Government contracts require applicants to be US citizens or permanent residents EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Masters degree or doctorate in engineering or science with 10 y related experience or equivalent professional experience COMPENSATION Salary depends on qualifications and experience Medical and dental Retirement Stock plan AOSense is an Equal Opportunity Employer Qualified applicants please apply online through Dice Submit your resume with a cover letter |
