intergration from an administrative project management design and implementation perspective as well as end user support Specific responsibilities include Manages key functional area projects and communications serving as advocate and professional internal consultant to designated functional areas Serves as primary point of Information Technology contact for Business Intelligence using the SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) environment Also provides ERP EDI reporting analysis and process improvement for the business areas of focus as assigned Responsible for developing agreed upon best practices assessing functional needs of the assigned business areas to support continued growth of the business while minimizing costs Develops and documents processes manages support and works on continuous process improvement projects with key teams Responsible for ongoing support and training within key focus areas while providing secondary support for other business areas in support of the team Responsible for requirements gathering design implementation support and upgrade of BI software Acts as the liaison between business units and the information technology department for BI needs Functions as project manager on key development projects and other IT subprojects Analyze design document modify test and train existing and new BI applications Maintains upgrades and supports key application interfaces from a data and process perspective Writes technical and user documentation and provides staff and user training Ensures support and requirements for business applications are met in a timely and effective manner Analyze design develop test and document SAP BOBJ universes using the Information Design Tool SQL views layouts and dashboards within the BI environment Provide operational and installationupgrade maintenance for the BI environment Defines operation performance standards and measurements for the BI environment Provides direct technical and operational support to endusers to ensure that business systems and reporting systems are functioning properly Makes recommendations for technical and business improvements Provides sufficient project documentation in support of changes Provides direct technical and operational support to end users to ensure that business systems and reporting systems are functioning properly BOBJ administration including central management server and general log file and queue maintenance ExperienceQualificationsSkills Required Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience Minimum of 6 years experience in a directly related field supporting functional business processes and needs through ERP Business Intelligence database and reporting development or other technology toolsets General knowledge of key business areas for a high technology manufacturingdistribution company Familiar with barcode technology OLAP cubes data warehousing and Citrix Strong command of the SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) Environment including the role of DataServices Universe Design Tool Web Application Services and Analytics and Dashboards Experience with Gentran EDI Gateway SQL MySQL SAP Business Objects Crystal Reports and Excel Prior experience implementing and supporting enterprise applications is helpful MS SQL Server 20052008 using standard and other advanced tools such as CLR programming SQL Reporting and Business Intelligence Universe Design Tool SQL Programming and experience with MS SQL and MySQL database environments Experience developing SQL Server Integration Services SQL Server Analysis Services solutions for business needs is a plus Experience using SQL Server Reporting Services for report and data presentation Strong Project Management experience and skills using waterfall agile or other applicable systems project management methodology Strong command of MS Office and general network computing in an Active Directory domain environment preferred Strong sense of ownership and commitment Effective communication skills and the ability to multitask Ability to work extended and various hours including weekends |
