Job Description
| The candidate will work and lead a hardware engineering team for RD prototyping projects He will be responsible for managing a small group of circuit and PCB designers to deliver hardware prototypes for wireless and other RD projects Key responsibilities Lead hardware group Work with system engineering group to define system partitioning hardware architectureinterfacing and perform throughput analysis Lead the design of Modem and lower MAC hardware design from floating or fixedpoint reference design Low power microarchitecture design System behavior modeling SynthesizableC SystemC or VerilogVHDL hardware modules Simulation verification synthesis and timing closure Maintain and improve consolidated systemHWSW design platform and flow Requirements MSEE with 5+ years of industry experience in hardware design including FPGA and ASIC Strong modem and DSP datapath design experience including digital filters FFT errorcorrection codes and lower MAC etc on FPGA and ASIC Matlab CC++ or equivalent for bit exact modeling and performance analysis Embedded microcontroller subsystems Leadership experience with sophisticated humancommunication skills RTL design using VerilogVHDL and SystemCSynthesizableC Low power circuit techniques Custom design flows and methodology Personal Attributes Selfmotivated positive passionate and ready to embrace change Integrity sustainable drive and ability to thrive Communication developmaintain a strong communicative relationship in cross functional organization Desired skills Working experience of wireless LAN Bluetooth and other lowpower communication products Discretetime and mixed signal processing Mixedsignal IC design and knowledge of RF architecture Latest ASIC process technology knowledge and understanding designformanufacturing Experience in medical device development is a big plus Patent related experience is a plus Layout designsupervision About the company Established in January 2005 in San Diego California Olympus Communication Technology of America Inc (OlympusCTA) a subsidiary of Olympus Corporation is an RD center dedicated to creating cuttingedge wireless and networking solutions for Olympus Corporation products Olympus products are quite varied but most prominently focused on consumer electronics and medical systems Our efforts are geared towards producing a variety of technologies some standardsbased and others proprietary We are dedicated to the development of innovative solutions with lowpower low cost highthroughput and easytouse attributes |
