| The Perl Web Developer will be responsible for developing new applications and systems using the Perl programming language as well as maintaining and enhancing the existing infrastructure They will work together with other members of the Information Technology team in the deployment of largescale web initiatives The Perl Web Developer position requires solid web development skills confidence teamwork and innovative thinking to build web applications that optimize business processes and directly impact the bottom line Requirements Bachelorrsquos degree in computer science with minimum 2 years experience or 45 years of professional development experience Working knowledge of the following web development stack HTMLXHTML CSS JavaScript (or CoffeeScript) Apache MySQL Proficient with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques Proficient with buildingmanaging relational databases (indexes stored procedures SQL query analysis) Proficient knowledge of web security and best practices Experience with web services (ie RESTful XML Atom RSS) Experience with writing tests (using TestMore) Experience with revision control systems (SVNGit) Effective negotiation and conflict management skills Good analytical abilities and the ability to apply findings to projects Professional presentation training and internal client facing skills Excellent written and verbal skills Optional (Preferred Skills) Experience with Template Toolkit (Perl Templating Framework) Experience with Plack Experience with Moose Experience with Catalyst Experience with SpreadsheetWriteExcel Experience with relational ORMs (like DBIxClass or ClassDBI) |
