| Sodick America Corporation engages in research and development of industrial controller and controller systems Currently we are a growing subsidiary of Sodick Co Ltd in Japan whom is one of the largest manufacturers of electrical discharge machines (ldquoEDMrdquo) and other numerous sales subsidiaries throughout North America and Europe with major manufacturing plants in Japan Thailand and China Sodick America Corporation is looking for an outstanding Software Engineer to join our innovative team in a Fulltime capacity The ideal candidate will utilize their skills in design and development of a range of motion products including motors with integrated controllers single and multipleaxis linear positioning systems In this high profile position candidate will work on product from concept through production Candidate will assist in developing new software kinematic control (5 Axis) for our Machining Center Responsibilities Software development with skills in frontend design and backend (algorithm) implementation Software development for an embedded system (SHARMMIPS) Design complex mechanical systems Create concepts Have understanding of different system elements including motors sensors and controls Build and debug prototypes Design product Release system documentation Verify system performance including design and development of test systems Support transition to manufacturing Dynamic analysis of high speed mechanical systems Coordinate and manage multifunctional project teams against aggressive development schedules Advanced problem SolvingRoot cause analysis EducationalExperience Requirements BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics Computer ScienceComputer Engineering or a related discipline 3+ years experience in software development position Skill Requirements Solid background in mechatronics mechanism kinematics CADCAM system and machine design Proven ability to conceptualize and execute complex spatial designs which require the tradeoff of multiple system parameters such as mechanical tolerances thermal conduction and system interconnect and electrical signal paths Understanding and experience with different motor technologies including AC stepper and DC brushless Experience releasing designs to productionmanufacturing including detailed work instructions Experience for Aluminum Diecast parts Aluminum extrusions and injectionmolded plastic parts Experience developing product designs requirements and specifications Must be well organized and enjoy working in a fastpaced dynamic environment Must be an excellent communicator Ability and dedication to produce excellent product documentation Proficient in SolidWorks AutoCAD PowerPoint MS Project MS Word and Excel A Technical Examination is required of all prospective candidates so that each candidate may receive equal and fair consideration Benefits Compensation Medical insurance dental insurance life insurance disability insurance prescription drug plans 401K with company matchup paid vacation days and paid holidays (All benefits are provided on the successful completion of a short orientation period Sodick America may change compensation and benefits at any time without prior notice) NO RELOCATION OR US WORKING PERMIT ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Sodick America is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer To all recruitment agencies Sodick America Corporation does not accept agency resumes Please do not forward resumes to our employees or any other company location PLEASE NOTE ndash NO PHONE INQUIRIES OR WALKIN APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED |
