| Junior programmer role in buisness casual workplace with generous vacation and benfits package located in midtown Manhattan Mizuho Capital Markets Corporations (MCMC) core business is providing liquidity to the derivatives market in major currencies such as Japanese Yen US Dollar Euro Hong Kong Dollar Australian Dollar British Pound Sterling and emerging market currencies such as Mexican Peso MCMCs main business is comprised of interest rate swaps FRAs crossndashcurrency swaps and foreign exchange transactions_________________________________________ Job Description Perform development and maintenance work on companyrsquos core software platform Qualitatively understand inhouse financial models for application testing purposes Evaluate new technologies for integration with existing systems Maintain upgrade and clean up code base in accordance with industry best practices Perform detailed testing and troubleshooting Develop automated testing infrastructure and create test cases Improve build infrastructure and developer tools Implement proof of concept test environments for evaluation of new technologies Other duties as assigned Experience Education Requirements Bachelors degree (or senior working towards degree) in Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or similar Experience on the job preferred but not required Strong software development skills with UNIX (LinuxSolaris) C++ Java Shell scripting Unit testing frameworks Multitiered application architecture Basic knowledge of financial instruments Methodical attention to detail Results oriented team player Benefits Vacation Medical Dental Vision Legal Plan 401(k) Apply by forwarding your salary requirements and resume via email to chrispmizuhocapcom |
