| Summary The Field Engineers primary area of responsibility is to implement network solutions for Mytech Partners clients This position requires the ability to bridge clients business objectives with the implementation of the technical solution It also requires the ability to resolve issues with a wide variety of interoperating technologies all the way from VMwareSAN environments to WAN circuits to desktop issues Field Engineer Success Criteria Able to find the balance between being confident enough to take initiative and not need to be babysat and humble enough to ask for help when you need it Communication skills I dont care how much you know or how brilliant you are if you cant communicate that knowledge and brilliance to our clients so if youre the creepy guy who is 36 and still lives in his parents basement and does nothing in his free time but surf Reddit and play WoW then please apply for positions with our competitors Passion for learning (and yes certs are a part of this) Mastery of the obvious components of business success returning phone calls being on time looking presentable shaking hands and looking people in the eye completing things when you said you would personal growth as well as to the staffs growth Okay on to the fine print Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to design and implement networks based primarily on Microsoft server technologies Manage implementation of projects and resources assigned to any given project Support end users and servers both remotely and on site Provide networkwide proactive maintenance for Mytech clients Deploy operating systems and applications efficiently Perform network assessments and provide proper recommendations where improvements are needed Test new products and technologies prior to deployment Create thorough and accurate documentation on all projects and support incidents Identify improvements associated with tools and techniques utilized by Service Team members Represent Mytech Partners in a positive professional and enthusiastic manner when working with clients and staff Support and adhere to the companys core values Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required Qualifications Education Experience Knowledge Skills Abilities Required To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and ability required to successfully perform in this position Strong technical knowledge and understanding of SMB networks infrastructure and equipment Minimum 3 years of industry experience designing deploying and supporting network infrastructures utilizing the following technologies Windows desktop operating systems (XP Vista Win7) Microsoft Server Platforms (20032008) Exchange Server Platforms (200320072010) Terminal Services Citrix VMware SharePoint firewalls (advanced experience with Exchange 20072010 migrationsdeploymentsadministration and advanced firewall configuration and implementation specifically SonicWall is highly desired) Certifications strongly desired please submit copies of Microsoft transcripts and other nonMicrosoft certifications Ability to multitask prioritize tasks and respond with sense of urgency Ability to clearly and concisely document issues and resolution steps Strong problem solving abilities Selfmotivated and responsive to management and clients Ability to work successfully and effectively within a team structure Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience working with time trackingticketing software desired Demonstrated knowledge of standard field service methods and procedures Exceptional
