Position Summary: At Glimmerglass Optical Cyber Solutions, we derive actionable information from optical and electronic signals. We develop and integrate cyber security solutions to dramatically reduce the latency in the intelligence process and deliver the highest performance in monitoring. Join us in delivering optical cyber solutions to our global customers in Cyber Security, Cyber Defense, and Telecommunications. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will join an elite team designing and developing the world*s highest speed data discovery and analytics platform operating on optical streams at top line-rates. You will be working with state of the art technologies as well as well as emerging industry and university research to develop a platform that is one of a kind.* You will work closely with other key team members that include highly skilled professionals from Product Management, System Hardware and Embedded Software to understand, design and implement core features in the big data analytics preprocessing. * * Responsibilities Design and develop complex algorithms and core features of the Glimmerglass Preprocessing analytics tools Requirements * The ideal candidate will have strong software development and problem solving skills. Self-starter. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills. Excellent team player B.S./MS **with 10+ years of Application or embedded software development experience Familiarity with statistics/math programming models & languages Strong experience with Spring Framework, Hiberante, Tomcat Web server, Web services Strong skills in Object Oriented methodologies Strong software development experience with Java and/or C/C++ Experience with Linux development environment Experience with Eclipse or equivalent IDEs, source control software, Maven or ANT build systems Highly Desirable Experience with data mining and analytics Experience with Data Preprocessing tied to Big Data Analytics tools * including: data reduction, data cleansing, sampling, handling incomplete data, etc. Strong database experience working with structured (e.g PostgresSQL, MySQL) and unstructured (e.g. Solr) Experience with Hadoop/MapReduce and other related technologies Experience with Deep Packet Inspection Experience with flow processing |
