PROJECT MANAGER Experience in PMO and leading large IT Infrastructure Projects *** PMP Certification Required *** *** Local Candidates Only - No Relo *** Position ID # 3889 The IT Infrastructure Project Lead, located in Lincolnshire, IL will be a key contributor in assisting the PMO department by developing, maintaining, and maturing the internal project management methodology, processes, tools, and supporting documentation. Responsibilities will include: providing guidance, coaching, and consulting to other project leads in the developed project management methodology and process along with developing and maintaining training, documentation, tool administration, and program communications. As the internal project management maturity level increases this position will lead IT Infrastructure initiatives. This position will require a results-oriented professional with an excellent Project Management track record managing medium to complex, cross-functional enterprise wide projects and initiatives. PMO strategy and development beneficial but not required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management methodologies (SDLC, PMI). Experience with Project Tracking tools, i.e., Innotas, Planview, and Microsoft Project. Ability to manage multiple cross-functional enterprise wide projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment of varying complexity. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of PMO office: Maintain user set-up, access rights, and overall system support. Responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing, designing, documenting and formalizing IT PPM processes including the user training, implementation and support of new processes. Lead and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders, within and outside of the organization as needed, to assist in the development of new PMO opportunities. Independent, goal oriented individual with a willingness to be both an individual contributor along with working as a team member of a cross functional, multi-business unit team. Customer focus with experience working with business clients and ability to establish and maintain effective business partnership. Ability to analyze data elements to create actionable and clear information Contribute to the broader organization PMO governance, process development, documentation, training and enterprise adherence of project standards. Must be independent, fast learner with a proactive, independent To be considered candidates must possess: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field or equivalent experience. Hands-on project management experience; 6+ years mid-to-large scale project management. Project management certification (PMP or PgMP certification from PMI) Strong competency using MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio. Ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed environment. Demonstrated strong communication and negotiation skills. Results-oriented problem solver with the ability to work well under pressure. Self-directing individual demonstrating teamwork, organization skills. Strong project management discipline, including development of project plans, assessment and mitigation of risk, effectively meeting management and tracking actions and issues.
