| We are open for this position to be REMOTEwork from home Please feel free to apply if you are located anywhere in the United States region Proof of authorization to work in the US is also required The Systems Analyst Programmer reports to the Vice President of Information Technology and is responsible for developing implementing and administering new and existing applications software Responsibilities include but are not limited to Interface with departments to understand complex business requirements and develop solutions using information technology and systems Develop applications systems and modules using any of the following Visual Basic SQL Database NET COM DCOM ASP Active X and Crystal Reports Provide statistical data and reports for various departments Develop and maintain supporting documentation for applications reports and procedures Perform related work as assigned Required Skills Knowledge of Computer programming principles Job planning prioritizing and scheduling techniques Various software packages including word processing spreadsheet data base and programming languages Insurance industry or insurance production systems highly desirable Exercise sound judgment within established guidelines Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work Proficient in documenting new systems and system changes Communicate effectively orally and in writing Experience 8 to 10 years minimum experience with Microsoft Windows environment using NET SQL and Visual Basic In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products Microsoft ExchangeOutlook Windows 7x and the Internet Education Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a combination of education and directlyrelated equivalent experience required Culture Flexible work schedule Casual Dress Daily OnSite Wellness Center Ongoing wellness programs Weekly yoga classes Annual Company 5k10k WalkRun Event Annual Winter Holiday Dinner 500 Annual Education Reimbursement Paid Parking Opportunity to work in the amazing downtown Santa Cruz CA area |
