Insurance is searching for a Sr Business Analyst to support special projects and process implementation for Bodily Injury claims In this role you will be a part of the Personal Insurance Claims Bodily Injury (BI) Process team Under limited supervision you will perform complex research and analysis to drive performance improvement and support business operations You will interact with all levels within the Personal Insurance organization to improve results across key performance measures of loss expense customer service and employee engagement The ideal candidate will bring an understanding of the claims process project management a focus on the big picture and an eye for detail Responsibilities Evaluates current and proposed claims handling activities within the context of leading practices human resource policies and legal requirements Understands the claims handling process identifies process gaps and actively contributes ideas and implements countermeasures to improve process performance Contributes to the establishment of key performance metrics to organize analyze understand and communicate quantitative and qualitative findings of claims related data Use the information gathered to build a business case for process improvements may draw conclusions about trends variances (against plan yearoveryear etc) and business performance presents information and distributes reports Conducts or directs research to obtain information such as financial data product or market profiles or business process flows Develop recommendations to address problemsissues and makes presentations to the supervisor project leader or manager Coordinates work with external vendors as appropriate to ensure completion of deliverables within project constraints of cost scope and time Monitors vendor Service Level Agreements identifies trends and issues and provides recommendations as needed to improve endtoend vendor process Represents department in interdepartmental meetingsand task forces to provide information and recommendations This is a grade 15 lateral or promotional opportunity based on experience Qualifications Bachelor039s Degree required Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply standard policies procedures and other established guidelines Knowledge of business operations objectives and strategies as well as business process and information flow required Skills in reporting business value analysis Excel PowerPoint and business process design Effective analyticalproblem solving and research skills effective communication skills for exchanging routine and nonroutine information (verbally and in writing) with people inside and outside the Company proficiency with personal computers spreadsheets and database software Personal Lines or Safeco
