| For more than 50 years BioRad has been at the center of scientific discovery providing a broad range of innovative tools and services for clinical diagnostics and life science research The company is renowned among hospitals universities major research institutions biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical firms for its commitment to quality and customer service At BioRad you will participate in exciting new developments at the cutting edge of science and technology If you want to join a company of great minds doing extraordinary things then BioRad is the place for you This position will work with BioRad colleagues worldwide to design and implement the processes required for the companyrsquos ERP project This role will focus on the planning requirements of distribution material and capacity This position requires a wellrounded individual with a combination of quality management experience business knowledge and vision process design leadership management and the ability to be handon and ldquodive into the detailsrdquo The position will ensure that the new processes are in alignment with the companyrsquos strategic initiatives and that the tools and processes developed in the ERP project enable the realization of those initiatives The position will help ensure that ERP design supports the following business areas Collaborative PlanningSOPDistribution Requirements Planning Rough Cut and Detailed Capacity Planning Material Requirements Planning for discrete and process items including lot controlled and perishable products Translation of requirements to shop floor scheduling or lean manufacturing systems Work with BioRad subject matter experts and stakeholders globally to Analyze and document current and future business needs Integrate information from various departments and business functions Appropriately prioritize process requirements including effectively distinguishing ldquoneed vs wantrdquo requirements Validate that the ERP implementation supports identified business needs Provide a path to transition from current process to future processes Required Skills In depth understanding of collaborative planning sales and operations planning distribution requirements planning material and capacity requirements planning as well as shop floor scheduling Ability to design processes and subprocesses and to think through the implications of those designs Understanding how these processes provide BioRad competitive advantages or operational efficiencies is essential This person must Think crossfunctionally Make sound business decisions Understand the impact of those decisions on the broader organization Ability to establish critical relationships throughout the company and to build trust and credibility throughout the organization Ability to effectively succinctly and confidently communicate team decisions to all levels of the organization with the appropriate level of detail (verbal written and presentation) Ability to travel average 30 including international with the ability to travel extensively as project needs require Proven ability to work independently and collaborate closely with others to accomplish business objectives Proven ability to work in ambiguous environments Experience Required Bachelorrsquos Degree required APICS CPIM or CSCP required MBA a plus Five or more years direct experience in a Supply Chain Planning role preferably in a Distribution Requirements Planning environment for a Manufacturing company Previous experience on project teams with a proven ability to work under time constraints while meeting critical milestones Experience with international business processes and relationships a strong plus |
