| TASC is looking for qualified Network and Radio Engineers to join our team of highly qualified experienced diverse individuals to perform in a challenging environment supporting the Emergency Communications Transformation Program (phase 2) in Brooklyn NY NASA will be performing the IVV of New York Cityrsquos upgrade to the 911 Call Centers This position is for the Police and Fire Department Radio Console and the Police and Fire Department Networks project and is onsite with the client The position will work within a team of other engineers and systems architects to perform the IVV of the New York Cityrsquos ECTP consolidated 911 system Specific duties include Analyzing ldquoasisrdquo system configuration and ldquotoberdquo system Works and communicates well with customers and user stakeholders Identify issues and risks during development and testing of the radio consoles and network systems Offering recommended actions to ensure to address the identified issues and failures Demonstrated teamwork and innovation in a development environment Key IVV interface to client developer and policefire stakeholders of the Radio Console or Networks projects Identify issues and risks during requirements allocation system integration transition and operation for both the police and fire departments Minimum Requirements BSEE and 14+ years of experience Candidate should be well versed in networks and familiarity with Motorola and Cisco products Fault detection and failover to backup systems System architectures and interdependencies among subsystems within systems system development lifecycle Candidate is required to have experience in telecommunication systems with two or more years of experience working with radio systems and networks Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in customer environment with appropriate interpersonal skills and represent TASC and NASA IVVrsquos interests Required domain experience Network and Radio Consoles (digital side of the comm systems) and software controls and consoles Voice data and video communication systems including voiceover internet protocol (VOIP) System architectures and interdependencies among subsystems within systems Desired skills Understanding of Emergency communication systems and E911 systems Knowledge of communications systems and emergency managementE911 Candidates with specific experience in operational communications systems and emergency management911 system software |
