| JOB DESCRIPTION The role of the Senior Business Analyst is to gather and document requirements for complex technology and business projects in support of Official Payments goals and then work with the project teams to ensure projects are successfully implemented. The Senior BA must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently according to tight deadlines. This includes gathering product and technical requirements, identifying required stakeholders and coordinating the efforts of internal team members, vendors and partners to produce high quality requirements. RESPONSIBILITES Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Proactively communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders to analyze business needs and functional requirements Produce high quality requirements documents including Business Requirements, Function Specifications, User Stories, User Interface Specifications etc. and ensure these results in high quality deliverables aligned with the needs of the business. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow. Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language. Collaborate with developers, QA testers and other stakeholders to deliver quality products Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams. REQUIREMENTS • 7+ years business analyst experience, working on progressively larger and more complex projects • Ability to effectively work on multiple projects concurrently • Ability to write both business and technical specifications, including experience writing user stories • Bachelor’s degree • Experience working on complex technology and software projects across multiple global locations • Experience communicating appropriately and efficiently across all levels including executive management • Available for up to 10% travel • Technical and business line knowledge • Strong leadership skills…persuasive, encouraging, motivating • Sophisticated business analyst skills • Strong organization and prioritization skills • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence and motivate within the business and Technology organizations • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment • Flexible during times of change • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project • Develop best practices and tools for the business analyst team |
