| Netsertive drives increased local sales opportunities and targeted online exposure by providing technologydriven highperformance online marketing to businesses and their related brands Based in the Research Triangle Park near Raleigh North Carolina Netsertive helps small to mediumsized businesses and their product manufacturers attract consumers and increase sales with innovative online marketing technology and a unique Digital CoOp platform Recognized as one of the ldquoBest Places to Work in the Trianglerdquo by the Triangle Business Journal and recipient of the NCTA 21 ldquoSmall Company Awardrdquo for product innovation market penetration sales growth and employment expansion Netsertives success is driven by the quality of our team who maintain a laser focus on clients and build breakthrough technology Netsertive offers a competitive compensation and benefits package stock options for every employee and a collaborative environment filled with energetic overachieving people who outflank the competition every day The position The Database Administrator is a member of the core engineering team and is tasked with implementing new database systems and maintaining existing MySQL systems This position requires a proven ability to create understand and implement business requirements for new systems and design enhancements to existing systems in an agile environment Responsibilities Perform all aspects of database administration including hardware and software evaluation and installation database design and implementation structured testing maintenance security administration capacity planning and performance tuning Write SQL statements stored procedures and functions and work with engineering team to modify as needed Perform routine and customary operational and monitoring activities to ensure the database environment is stable and capable of meeting ongoing business needs Assist in the development and implementation of state of the art information technology strategies and platforms that meet current and future business needs Research and evaluate new tools and techniques Develop policies and procedures related to the database environment Minimum Qualifications Bachelorrsquos degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field 13 years of database administration experience including installations patches monitoring maintenance backups recovery and data loads Experience with MySQL Ability to troubleshoot and correct databases and related trouble tickets Desire to create client facing account and performance reports Experience with web technologies such as Apache PHP and JavaScript Proven and well developed analytical and problem solving skills Excellent written verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to follow through on projects to completion Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products including Word Outlook and Excel Flexible and interested in a small company with lots of growth opportunity Likes to have fun |
