Responsibilities/duties: Glimmerglass is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our CyberSweep software development team to invent and deliver a new breed of cyber security solutions. The Glimmerglass CyberSweep solution helps our customers turn massive amounts of data into actionable intelligence. * The chosen individual will participate in all phases of our software development process from product conception to final delivery to customers. The primary focus of this individual will be design and implementation of core features of our new software platform. The individual may also take on additional responsibilities of leading a small and dynamic team of software engineers to deliver various software components in the most effective way possible. * Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have strong development and problem solving skills and is a self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills. This person will also be an excellent team player and has a BS/MS with 8-10+ years of application software development experience. We are also looking for someone who has strong software design experience with OO methodologies and strong software development experience with Java, C/C++. Additionally this individual will have strong experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate, Tomcat Web server, Web services and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. The candidate should also have experience with software development for the telecom and networking industry, along with experience with software product development in the area of data mining and analytics. Lastly, the candidate should also have experience with Eclipse or equivalent IDEs, source control software, MAVEN or ANT build systems. * Highly Desirable: In addition to our required skills and qualifications, the ideal candidate will also have experience with Map Reduce and Hadoop, probes or DPI devices, and cyber security software solutions. Having team lead experience and software project management skills is also highly desirable. |
