| Kraft Foods Group is one of the most admired and largest food and beverage businesses in North America Were also one of the largest worldwide among publicly traded consumer packaged food and beverage companies based on our 2011 combined net revenues of 187 billion We manufacture and market food and beverage products including convenient meals Refreshment beverages and coffee cheese and other grocery products primarily in the United States and Canada under a host of iconic brands Our product categories span breakfast lunch and dinner meal occasions both at home and in foodservice locations Our diverse brand portfolio consists of many of the most popular food brands in North America Including three brands with annual net revenues exceeding 1 billion each Kraft cheeses dinners And dressings Oscar Mayer meats and Maxwell House coffees plus over 20 brands with annual net revenues of between 100 million and 1 billion each In the United States based on dollar share in 2011 we hold the number one branded share position in a majority of our 50 product categories as well as in 18 of our top 20 product categories We hold the number two branded share position in the other two product categories This position allows the candidate to significantly impact the product development and technology pipeline of the Cheese and Dairy business unit in the near and midterm As a member of the Cheese and Dairy Business Unit and functionally aligned with the Statistics Center of Expertise a statistician provides guidance in data collection and analyses to enhance the quality of technical decision making throughout the Kraft organization This specific position will provide support for the RD and Manufacturing organizations in Cheese and Dairy Design experiments for research and product development projects Provide data analysis and interpretation for research and product development projects Design experiments determine sampling and provide analysis for chemometrics based projects Establish a working knowledge of the subject matter of client organizations Participate on crossfunctional project teams (Consumer Science Product Development Dairy Technology Commercialization Research) Train team members in the use of statistical methods and software to guide decision making Communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of management Develop sampling plans for manufacturing processes apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to characterize manufacturing processes and guide process improvement efforts Apply statistical tools and tools for teams to continuous improvement and process variation reduction projects Apply a creative approach to problem solving Travel 10 20 MS or PHD in Statistics Applied Statistics or close equivalent Required 3 5 years experience required Consumer Products company preferred Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma tools and methods preferred Chemometrics experience preferred Strong project management skills and drive for results Excellence in verbal and written communication Ability to learn and work independently Experience in one of SAS Minitab JMP Kraft Foods is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action employer Kraft recruits qualified applicants without regard to race color religion gender age ethnic or national origin veteran status physical or mental disability genetic information sexual orientation or preference gender identity marital status or citizenship status |
