Collaborate with Technical Teams, Technical Manager, Project Manager and subject matter experts from the businesses. Work closely with the SMEs to understand, plan implement R&D tasks
Manage day-to-day module & process level tracking with respective to time and delivery.
Anticipate issues and risks at the module level and escalate appropriately
Drive mid-level planning exercises with engineers
Provide mentoring and training to junior developers.
The main purpose of the role:
·Define overall technical architecture and strategy
·Define programming standards
·Propose technical solutions for projects
·Write design documents
·Administer design and code within a single team
·Ensure system design adheres to the overall technical architecture
·Understand core business functions and main system flows
·Summary of the main day-to-day activities of the position:
·Day to day interaction with the project team, team members from other application teams, operations, and vendors.
·Design, document, build, and implement new features and functions.
Goals and objectives:
·Lead group regarding technical strategy
·Provide systems support
·Recognize interdependencies between systems and departments
·Manage technical issues, escalate and resolve
Key relationships (internal/external customers, vendors, etc.):
·Advise client and PM on technical aspects of project
·Translation of business requirements
·Make strategic recommendations to PM
·Liaison during UAT testing
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of IT experience
  • Knowledge Identity Management, Provisioning, Profile Systems
  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in designing and architecting solutions on the Identity management, LDAP, SAML, Single Sign On.
  • Demonstrated hands on ability in architecture, design and development of scalable, complex Java / JEE software applications
  • Hands-on experience in Core Java/JEE skills like JSP, Servlets, JDBC, EJB, JMS, XML, SOAP based Web Services
  • Hands-on any of these application servers -jBoss
  • Exposure to popular databases - Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, LDAP
  • Experience with leading technical discussions and arrive to solutions working in collaboration with different IT teams

The LDAP Java Developer role entails working as part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining the identity management system that is a part of our overall eCommerce platform. This platform provides commerce services to support our digital products technology organization.

While working under minimal supervision you will design, develop and maintain our SOAP-based web service interfaces that deals with identity management and user profile with replicated fedora-ds LDAP and Oracle10g as the data stores. You will have the same responsibilities for other Java components that implement internal processes or consume other external services. In addition, you will also maintain and administer the LDAP servers in different environments including production. Your innovation and creative skills will be challenged through working with our Technical Leads to create high level designs and then creating the detail design and code that ultimately provide the solution. Other day to day functions include debugging, troubleshooting and integration and QA support. You will also be part of a monthly production support rotation.

Requirements:

· 8 solid years experience with Java

· 5 solid years experience with J2EE-based web application/service implementations

· jndi-LDAP integration experience

· Spring application context framework

· iBatis or similar ORM package

· SOAP-based web services/REST.

· XML, XSD, JAXB, SQL, SQL tuning

· Log4j, SVN

· Eclipse

· Oracle database

· Experience with AOP

· Experience working in a Linux deployment environment.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related

· Strong professional interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Skills

· JMS (producer and consumer)

· Experience working with JBoss Application Server

· Experience writing BASH scripts; KSH a plus.

· Experience with Restful service.

· Experience with ehcache

· Experience using easymock

· Experience with identity management and authentication-authorization systems a plus

· Encryption, public-key, private-key, hashing, SSL knowledge
