Build and Automation Engineer ======================== Responsibilities: Define, develop and maintain build-related tools and processes including Continuously Integrated Builds with automated unit-testing and deployment to Apache, Tomcat, node, npm and mongo Manage build configurations and systems Maintain corporate, project and module POM and properties files Create and manage corporate artifact repository Create and maintain master image for development tools and configuration Support coding design and style standards from within the build process Define project interactions between build and development tools (Maven and eclipse) Manage code repository and any hooks for tools and standard build events Build tagging, branching and merging in GIT and Subversion(SVN) Keep up to date with changes and evolution in the industry Perform on-call support by providing immediate responses to high priority requests for assistance by the 24/7 Operations teams. Provide after hours and weekend support as needed Train Operations personnel on applications and system procedures Be able to document and / or assist in documenting application logic, process flows, and configurations. Participate in the ongoing processes of investigating, analyzing and providing long term resolutions to technical issues Required Skills 3 year experience as a Java/JavaScript/Ruby developer 2 year experience on Linux platform Solid Experience with Installing/Configuring/Maintaining tools like Chef, JIRA, Git, Subversion and Jenkins. Experience with built-in plug-ins Experience with AWS automation Experience with third-party plug-ins like Sonar, Clover, PMD, CheckStyle and FindBugs Experience with Ant, Maven and SVN(Subversion) Familiar with common open source development and management tools Expert level knowledge in Build, Continuous Integration, code style/quality metrics tools and repositories Experience working in corporate environments with software development life-cycle Experience with multiple core technologies, including IP networking and various internet technologies Good written and spoken communication skills and ability to document and present technical solutions and design B.S. degree in computer science or equivalent experience Dow Jones, Making Careers Newsworthy
