This person is energized by new challenges and enjoys a sense of accomplishment and hgaving a direct impact on the business Job Function Responsible for managing, maintaining and improving key Information Security tools to help mature and improve the overall effectiveness of solutions across the organization. Evaluates emerging and available Information Security Technologies Identifies security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives Responsible for monitoring tools, detection, and identification of security anomalies and responding to them as necessary Performs complex product evaluations, recommends and implements products/services Monitors security audit and intrusion detection system logs for system and network anomalies Investigates and/or escalates security violations, attempts to gain unauthorized access, virus infections that may affect the network or other event affecting security Documents and reports event(s) Technical Skills Experience with security or compliance tools (e.g. QualysGuard, QRadar, HP WebInspect, Tripwire, Imperva, Vontu, Varonis, IBM Appscan) Experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists Experience working with internet, web, application and network security techniques Experience working with relevant operating system security (Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc.) Experience working with leading, network scanning and intrusion detection products and authentication technologies Working knowledge of Linux bash scripting (perl, php, sed, awk,bash, ruby a plus) Professional and Educational Qualifications A minimum of 3-5 years of Information Security experience Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with CISSP certification preferred or working towards CISSP certification Dow Jones, Making Careers Newsworthy
