Responsible for design, development and production support of interactive data visualizations, preferably in-browser, including ability to analyze data lineage across presentation, business and data tiers of application architecture. Passion for transforming large amounts of data into compelling visual stories comprised of different displays like heat maps, geo-spatial, network/association diagrams etc. to facilitate analysis and decision making. Experience with visualization of "real-time" data like flight tracking systems Skills and Experience: 7+ years INDUSTRY experience using C++, Java, JavaScript * 3+ years of hands-on experience in interactive graphics, data visualization, data mining and data analysis. * 3-4 years RIA/ web development with HTML5/JavaScript/AJAX/canvas or other RIA tools like Flex. * Expert-level knowledge of Java, HTML, preferable HTML5, DHTML, and JavaScript required * Understanding of statistical methods and statistical data analysis * Strong knowledge of SQL preferably in Oracle environment, including high degree of comfort with Database modeling, Database principles, and tools like Toad, ER, SQLPlus etc. * Experience with Data Visualization tools/toolkits like Tableau, Vislt, ParaView, Protoviz, knockout, backbone, angular, highcharts, infovis, protovis, flot, js charts, etc. * Proficiency developing User Interfaces leveraging MVC frameworks * Prior Gaming Industry experience is plus * Knowledge of user experience concepts is a strong plus * Excellent verbal and written communications * Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Computational Statistics, MS is preferred * Must be able to multitask efficiently and progressively and work comfortably in an ever-changing data environment. * Must work well in a team environment as well as independently. * Excellent verbal/written communication and problem solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels. |
