| Developer II Sr Developer (job family) HealthCore Inc a health services research firm headquartered in Wilmington DE is currently seeking a Developer II or Senior Developer to work in our Wilmington DE Alexandria VA or Andover MA office Founded in 1996 and now an independentlyoperating subsidiary of WellPoint Inc HealthCore provides the health care system biopharmaceutical industry academia and the federal government with realworld data to improve the quality safety and affordability of healthcare HealthCores projects range from retrospective to largescale prospective studies in the areas of drug vaccine and medical device safety surveillance risk management pharmacoepidemiology health outcomes pharmacoeconomics and comparative effectiveness research Responsibilities The Developer will participate in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle and utilizing various customer technology platforms for HealthCore Primary duties may include but are not limited to Develops relationships with the business to better understand business requirements Analyzes and classifies complex change requests and identifies and documents possible enhancements Participates in developing application scope and objectives and preparing functional andor technical specifications Codes and maintains complex components of information systems Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and reexecutes unit tests to validate results to support implementation plan Participates in data management integration activities importing exporting and formatting data into various formats for successful implementation and support of project efforts Analyzes data contained in the corporate data warehouse and identifies data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implementing solutions Providing claims knowledge and SQL support to business users Qualifications Requires a BABS degree or technical institute training and 1 or more years experience on one platform or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background (3+ years experience required for Sr level position) Multi database multi language or multi business application is preferred Requires experience with SQL SSIS TSQL and basic SQL server administration skills in addition to stored procedure knowledge Teradata experience as well as knowledge of medical and pharmacy claims data eligibility and provider files are preferred In addition to a dynamic work environment HealthCore offers a competitive salary and an outstanding benefits program including a 401(k) plan health dental and vision insurance discounted fitness club membership life ADD short and longterm disability insurance coverage tuition assistance and paid parking HealthCore is located in Wilmington DE midway between New York City and Washington DC with new offices in Alexandria VA and Andover MA As an independently operating subsidiary of WellPoint Inc HealthCore offers the resources of the nations leading health benefits company in a small company environment To learn more about us or apply for a position please visit wwwhealthcorecom EOE Dedicated to Diversity |
