Enjoys troubleshooting as needed but great architect, engineer, developer. Sound complicated? You bet. But that is what makes this fun and exciting. ***Must be someone that wants to become an employee. Could start as a consultant but desire to become an employee over 6 months is important. What we do: Support the data infrastructure for video streaming services across a broad range of consumer platforms including mobile devices, televisions, desktop computers, and more. What you’ll do: You’ll work with the data engineering team to help us integrate all of our data stores and help mine the data sets we have. You’ll help to automate our existing processes and build out new infrastructure for the future. You’ll also help manage our current NoSQL infrastructure. What we’re looking for: A highly skilled individual with a successful history of architecting and engineering the data systems (relational databases and Nosql)- visualization, systems integration work, and both development and operational experience with NoSQL/RDBMS systems. Want someone that has built systems with scalability, flexibility for the future. Required Skills: Architecting and rolling out data systems, relational and nonrelational. Data architecture, engineer, implement, support, automate. NoSQL experience ( Cassandra, HBase, MongoDB, or CouchDB ) RDBMS experience (MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL ) Heavy scripting/development experience with Python/BASH/Perl/Shell. Python strongly preferred. Will be using Python Should be familiar with system administration (some exposure to Linux RHEL or CentOS) Proven track record in automation and integration of disparate systems Experience with Agile methodology Git for version control Experience working in DevOps environments with focus on automation and scalability Amazon Web Services, Google Compute experience preferred (AWS, GCE).
