Corporate Location Arizona Reports To IS Infrastructure Manager Driver NO Brief Description Provide quality support and problem solving for the Shamrock Foods Company User Community Log track and report all problems through our Help Desk System and follow up to ensure resolution to the users satisfaction record all actions taken to correct and resolve the issue Initiate change requests orders to permanently address system fixes and application problems ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following Other duties may be assigned LinuxUNIX administration and troubleshooting Oracle administration and troubleshooting VMWare administration and troubleshooting MS Windows administration and troubleshooting SQL Server administration and troubleshooting Storage management auditing and troubleshooting Patching and upgrading of servers Create and follow proper change control procedures Advanced troubleshooting of PCServer hardwaresoftware issues Review IRs before they are escalated to System Engineers System Engineers with specific projects relating to new installations updates and maintenance cleanup Create and maintain documentation on new administrative procedures and troubleshooting techniques Provide 247 On Call support Must be available to work offhours and weekends Must be capable of troubleshooting problems determine root causes recommend fixes and implement those fixes SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES NONE Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily The requirements associates customers EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE BSCS Degree required Two plus yearsrsquo experience in Linux administration andor Twp plus yearsrsquo experience in Oracle administration andor Two plus yearsrsquo experience in VMWare administration Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a team possessing strong written and verbal communications skills and strong leadership skills Must be able to work from a remote site with little supervision Proactive energetic strong sense of urgency work well with others in a team oriented and fast paced environment ability to adapt to change and solid interpersonal skills LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations Ability to write reportsbusiness correspondence and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of
