| HealthCore Inc a health services research firm is seeking a Sr Data Architect to join our dynamic company Founded in 1996 and now an independentlyoperating subsidiary of WellPoint Inc HealthCore provides the health care system biopharmaceutical industry academia as well as federal and state governments with realworld data to improve the quality safety and affordability of healthcare HealthCores projects range from retrospective to largescale prospective studies in the areas of drug vaccine and medical device safety surveillance risk management pharmacoepidemiology health outcomes pharmacoeconomics and comparative effectiveness research We are currently seeking an experienced Sr Data Architect to join our research team This individual will be responsible for aligning data solutions to business requirements by planning and managing data architecture work Wilmington DE office location preferred but position may be located in our Andover MA Alexandria VA or Atlanta GA office Will also consider remote workers Primary duties may include but are not limited to Applies industryaccepted data architecture practices and techniques Applies data architecture principles standards guidelines and concepts Under guidance adapts architecture practices techniques principles standards guidelines and concepts At the project level in collaboration with specialists from allied disciplines produces data models that meet business requirements Develops logical and physical data models and other models as needed Under guidance manages projectlevel modeling efforts Independently works with business users development teams and database administrators to help develop implement and maintain databases Upholds sharingintegration standards and guidelines Identifies the need for revision and develop change recommendations Manages data architecture work in terms of architecture framework rather than onetime repairs or isolated solutions Develops the blueprint for information at HealthCore Administers the modeling tool Performs initial and periodic project assessments to provide feedback to Data Planning and Solutions Department management Upholds data quality standards and guidelines Identifies the need for revision and develops change recommendations Participates in ongoing design code test and documentation of new database features or data model enhancements skillsattributes Collaborates with IT resources on the creation and maintenance of the content of the data environment Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data environment data structure design definitions capabilities programming languages and data integrity issues Qualifications Requires BABS degree in related discipline 3 years data related experience or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background 5 years of experience in information technologies preferred Data modeling background required 2 years of health care industry experience Strong data warehousing development skills Teradata experience master certification a plus Demonstrated experience with Teradata TD12TD13 with expertise in BTEQ scripts development Strong work experience using Teradata Utilities (BTEQ Fast Load MultiLoad FastExport TPump) Strong work experience using Teradata Tools (SQL Assistant PMON Teradata Administrator) Should be selfstarter to identify and implement new enhancements in the Teradata Warehouse environment to keep up with the advancements in the data warehouse industry Strong SQL programming skills and understanding of implementingprogramming business logic 5 + years expertise working with ETL Experience on large multi terabytes data warehouses Experienced in writing technical documentation including business requirements mapping documents use and test case documentation Experienced in data profiling and data quality processes Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of management as well as onshore and offshore contractors Ability to execute on multiple work priorities simultaneously in a fast paced environment while driving toward solutions Working at HealthCore In addition to a dynamic work environment HealthCore offers a competitive salary outstanding benefits program including 401(k) health dental and vision insurance discounted fitness club membership life ADD short and longterm disability insurance tuition assistance and free parking HealthCore is headquartered in Wilmington DE midway between New York City and Washington DC with offices in Andover MA Alexandria VA and Atlanta GA As an independently operating subsidiary of WellPoint HealthCore offers the resources of the nations leading health benefits company in a small company environment To learn more about us or apply for a position please visit wwwhealthcorecom EOE Dedicated to Diversity |
